A Daily Ecumenical Prayer during the COVID-19 Pandemic
(from the National Council of Churches)
Gracious God,
We give thanks anew for your providence and presence.
We prayerfully seek your grace, amidst COVID-19 here and overseas.
We pray for those in need of healing.
We pray for your peace with those who are anxious or grieving.
We pray you will continue to strengthen and sustain all those who are serving in response.
We pray for your Holy Spirit’s discernment amidst the many choices and decisions facing our national community and medical leaders.
We pray we each might see quickly what more we can do to help those who are vulnerable.
This prayer for our nation in the family of nations,
with all that is on our hearts,
we gather now and pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
GREEN HILLS ANGLICAN COMMUNITY
We are a warm and welcoming inner city Parish (St John's Church, 185 Wardell Street, Enoggera and St James' Church, 58 Enoggera Road, Kelvin Grove) within the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland.
Green Hills Anglican Community is located in the inner city suburbs of Enoggera and Kelvin Grove, just 8 and 5 minutes north of the CBD. It is a very active and loving church community. Although small in numbers compared with many parishes, as a church community we generate high levels of spiritual and physical involvement in a wide variety of activities. We are diverse in nature and have many parishioners who have been involved for over 50 years.
